ORON DEVELOPMENT UNION (U.S.A.), INC.

ORON DEVELOPMENT UNION (U.S.A.), INC is pleased to announce an opportunity for qualified candidates to each receive a one-time ₦60,000 award for 2017/2018 Academic Year.

REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must be actively enrolled full-time students of Oro extraction, living in Nigeria and duly registered at an accredited Tertiary Institution (post-secondary) in Nigeria.
A minimum CGPA of 2.0/4.0 or equivalent is required for BSC program (not required for 1^st year students).
A minimum CGPA of 2.5/4.0 or equivalent is required for Masters Programs (minimum of 2^nd Class Lower, BA/BSc accepted for 1^st year Post Graduate Program).
Admission Letter on admitting institution official letterhead is required
Official current or most recent Transcript.
Authenticated Certificate of Origin from respective Local Government Areas.
Community service/volunteer work (To include but not limited to participation in ODUUSA Medical Mission, Community Service activities, Outstanding Volunteer Ventures that has impacted others such as Tutoring the less privileged and participating in ODU specific projects etc).
Completed form must be submitted along with all required documents (Scanned PDF or JPG format) to scholarship@localhost on or before December 15, 2017.
Forms must be endorsed by a member of applicant’s institution academic staff (e.g. lecturers, deans, HODs etc.); including contact telephone numbers for verification purposes.

GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Sixty Thousand Naira (₦60,000) one-time scholarships shall be awarded to each qualified student.
Names of successful candidates shall be published on or before Friday, December 27^th, 2017, and award letters issued by the National Executive Committee of ODU USA Inc.
Scholarship shall be applied toward the student’s tuition, and shall be held pending resumption of classes as applied to 1^st year students that are yet to resume.
Selection shall be based on:
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
Student’s written essay as requested in page 2 of ODU Scholarship Application form.
Progress toward graduation.
